Canucks at Coyotes - Game #67 Preview - Go Puck a Nuck!
For those that didn't see the highlights of Avs-Nucks last night, Roberto Luongo sucked for a while It was Avs 4 - Mikael Samuelsson 3 after 2 periods and the Canucks came back to win 6-4. That's the short version. Andrew Raycroft will get the start against the Phoenix Coyotes tonight.
The Coyotes haven't played since Saturday when we ran the Ducks 4-0. Robert Lang might be back in the line up, though he just started skating recently so we'll see. Mathieu Schneider could be in as well, though I'd bet he's more likely for the road trip that starts on Saturday.
Starting Goaltenders
No doubt he gets this game with a conference opponent that's so close to us in points. He's had a few days rest and should be just fine. Besides who else would you take in the big game?
Being at the end of the massive 14 game road trip thanks to the Olympics and on the 2nd game of the back-to-back the Canucks will go with Raycroft tonight. We've had him start against us 4 times before and he's gone 1-3 with an .891% save percentage. Not the best numbers, though hope he stays consistent.
KEY PLAYERS
Why not? I keep putting him here, he keeps scoring. I'll change when he does. 2 games 3 points. Nuff said.
Whatever. These guys score. I don't like that. Not one bit. If we could stop them that would be super.

nope
Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault chose to return Luongo to the net to start the second, despite the fact he allowed three goals on 10 shots, and it paid off as the Olympic gold medallist made several outstanding stops among his 23 saves
