Coyote Tracks - Monday (Ugh!) March 1 Edition

Final 19 Games...Currently In 4th Place - LET'S DO THIS!!!!!

Man, what a game that was.  USA showed real heart with that game-tying goal in the final minute, and then Cindy had to go and ruin everything with that goal in OT.  Alas!  No shame for these boys though, although I know it has to be tough to feel anything but disappointed after that loss.  Congrats to Canada, who hosted a fine winter olympiad and deserved all accolades received.

And now, it will be back to Coyotes action...well, starting Tuesday night of course...when you should all be at Jobing.com Arena to see the Yotes take on the Blues...

azcentral.com blogs - Ice Chips - JimGintonio - Coyotes gear up for stretch run
A typical fluff blog entry about the Coyotes getting ready for the last 19 games...lots of road games coming after this 4 game homestand...it's gonna be important for the guys to play at least .500 hockey on the road.

This Wednesday at 1 PM local time is the trade deadline...so far, I haven't heard about any deals, but I would imagine those GMs have been buzzing about for the last 2 weeks during the roster freeze.  I wouldn't be surprised if some moves happen quickly...

Coyotes general manager Don Maloney: Team won't give away talent
Thankfully, GMDM remains committed to what has gotten the Coyotes in the playoff picture this year...

2010 NHL Trade Deadline: Salary Cap Space
This despite how much cap space the Coyotes have...seriously, we could take on an Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin, Drury and Briere contract and still have cap space...

The Fourth Period :: Toronto Maple Leafs :: Maple Leafs ready for trade deadline
And apparently we're already being linked to certain players...

Finally, this article was not a surprise to those that follow Tyson Nash's twitter feed - and really, that should be all of you...

Coyotes' Shane Doan, Tyson Nash fly F-16s
Coyotes forward Shane Doan and analyst Tyson Nash recently flew in F-16s with pilots from Luke Air Force Base.  There's photos in here that are pretty amusing...

Alright, enjoy the return of NHL hockey tonight (unless you have DirecTV and won't be able to watch the game on VS.)...
