Coyotes Continue Winning with Sixth Straight Win

Adrian Aucoin is looking like a breakout shootout specialist these days for the Coyotes. Last night against the Blackhawks, Coach Tippett called on his secret weapon once again saying "If you look at the stats he's our number one in percentage. One for one, so why wouldn't you go with your highest percentage guy? He's perfect." Aucoin came through again as it just snuck throught Cristobal Huet for the game winner in the Shootout. Robert Lang scored one earlier that went off the post and off Huet's back to go in the net. Better lucky than good sometimes. Jason LaBarbera did his part too. While Johnathan Toews was able to get by him on the first chance, Patrick Kane put one off the post and then LaBarbera poke checked Marian Hossa for the win, making it look easy.

The entire game was a back and forth to get it to that point though, With very few turnovers it seemed like the two teams were just trading chances all night. Both Goaltenders came up big for their teams. The Coyotes and Hawks both had to get a little luck with screens to get their respective regulation goals, and aside from those Huet and LaBarbera turned aside a ton of quality chances, stealing goals from the other sides.

The Coyotes made it six straight wins for their longest winning streak of the season and look to make it seven (haha) tonight against the Stars.
