Coyote Tracks - Friday February 5th Edition

Running around too much today to catch my flight to Pittsburgh and see my new niece, so it'll be short and sweet...

YESTERDAY'S SCORES:  Was 6 - NYR 5 (12 in a row for the Caps); Mon 3 - Bos 2 (SO); Dal 1 - Clb 2; Van 1 - Ott 3 (11 in a row for the Sens); NYI 2 - TB 5; SJ 4 - StL 2; Col 3 - Nsh 5; Edm 2 - Min 4; Ana 4 - LAK 6 (will the Kings please lose?)

So apparently there was some big trade or something yesterday?  Travis has the details below...yay no Kovy for the Kings.  Some moves from the Coyotes yesterday:

YANDLE HAVING BREAKOUT SEASON - Phoenix Coyotes - Features
Coyotes defenseman Keith Yandle, a fourth-round pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, is evolving into a very confident and reliable NHL player.

Yotes TV Ratings Up " Puck The Media
Coyotes are seeing a distinct uptick in their TV viewership on FS Arizona - I would actually attribute some of this to FSN finally showing all the Coyotes games in HD.

KTAR.com - Green: Let's jump on the bandwagon
People in the Valley might finally be taking notice of the Coyotes...about frickin' time!!!

A nice little article here about Captain Coyote from the Glendale Star.

2010 Olympics blog - NHL.com - All-Access Vancouver
Just a good site with the ins and outs of the Olympics from the NHL....unfortunately, no Keith Yandle.  I have to imagine he makes the team in 2014 if the pros are involved.

Finally, as many of you know I am a big Flyers fan in addition to my Coyotes love.  This article captures one of the great moments in my Flyers fandom and truly is what I think we all love about hockey in general.  Sami Kapanen's heroic play to get off the ice while play continued and the Flyers end up clinching their playoff series over Toronto - this is just a great read:

Ok, I'm off to freeze my butt off in Pittsburgh for the weekend.  Travis and GhostOfLinkGaetz will be around to recap the action and keep things moving.
