Ed Jovanoski

Just out curiousity, what's your guys take on Jovo? Is he still a viable number one defenseman? I was looking at his stats and he was a minus 15 last season. Was that more because of the circumstances of the 'Yotes as a team?

I'm asking because I wouldn't be all that surprised if he was traded to the Rangers. There have always been rumors of Jovo being traded to NY, Sather and Maloney just LOVE trading with one another and with the Rangers looking to for another defenseman

I think Jovo has lost a step, but he’s still worth a roster spot. I’d place him as a second line D and not top line – depending on the other options on the team of course.

The Rangers have a penchant for picking up stars just past their primes, so I can totally see him going there.

It's certainly possible...

Jovo’s not a terrible player, but for his production over the last few seasons, he’s woefully overpaid. 6.5 million is a lot for what we’ve gotten. I think the only way he’s moved though is if the COyotes are able to find a top line forward and we need to clear some cap space.

and he would

have to waive the no trade clause in his contract….he’s only 6 mil the last two seasons of the contract but that’s still a millstone around the yotes neck….

who will rid me of this damn priest?
