If anything, the Canadian media (myself included) probably see Kansas City as the most likely destination for the team if it’s moved. There’s really not an NHL-ready building available for a team to move into in this country.

I believe this town needs its own Steve Mehlman. Someone who can rally the 1000’s of fans who have been turned off by the team’s on and off ice performance in the last 8 years. People need to realize that once we lose a team the chances are slim of getting one back and even if we do it could be decades before we get another one.

The club itself finally made the right decision when they hired Maloney. Unfortunately, it may have been a couple of years too late.

The saddest part of the whole thing is this is a good hockey town. I remember when the press here covered them like they covered the other teams in town. Yotes mistakes over the years, there is a long list, have just killed any of the juice. I’ve got friends who used to have season tickets who don’t even watch games on TV anymore.
