Carcillo out for Tuesdays game after high stick
Danny will be out at least for Tuesday after having oral surgery this morning because of losing several teeth after being high sticked against the Ducks.
My favorite quote from the article:
Coyotes Head Coach Wayne Gretzky said forward Todd Fedoruk gathered Carcillo’s teeth from the ice and brought them to the Phoenix bench.
Feds knows all about lost teeth...

It won’t help any, but Brendan Mikkelson was the guest on the Ducks’ radio after the game, and he was super-apologetic about his high-stick incident and had plenty of nice things to say about Carcillo the player. I don’t think Mikkelson is a dirty player, necessarily, but then again it was only his 2nd NHL game and unlike his debut, it wasn’t televised. Thanks, league!

Didn't see it...obviously...
But I wasn’t under the impression that there was any intention to it…I think he was just riding Carcillo out of the play and the stick came up inadvertently. Hopefully it’s only a minor injury and Carcillo will be back after the 1 game…I’m not upset with Mikkelson…and the refs got the call right, so nothing to carryover to a future game…
Unlike last year with JR ruining Carcillo’s knee…Carcillo putting JR into the side glass near the SJ bench was a start, but I’m still waiting for my JR beating for that bs!

And...
I meant to add that it’s a classy thing to do by Mikkelson though to get on the radio and be apologetic. Nice gesture…good to know that at least one of the Ducks is a class act…

We’ll see if that class holds up through his first year. He is, after all, being paired up with (and tutored by) Chris Pronger.
Who knows? Mikkelson may have gotten an earful this morning. “Have I taught you nothing, young apprentice?! Never apologize!” :)

You know...
I think I like Gretzky’s final statement about not sure which was more surprising, that this was the first time Danny had any teeth knocked out or that the Fridge actually found them all.
There is nothing like a hockey game and a good fight to make it all better.
